We are a family owned and operated business in rural Wisconsin. Whenever someone asks me why...why would you buy a place in the middle of nowhere? My response is always this; I got hungry for food that was not deep fried, and thirsty for some awesome Bloody Mary’s. My kids and I have all moved away for periods of time, and chose to move back to this beautiful place because we love it here! Our adventures have inspired our menu options with lots of flavor combinations and options for the diverse groups of people who have always lived here, and for others like us, who have moved here from somewhere else. We all hope you enjoy this new adventure with us!

The Hotel Bar & Grill in Downtown Turtle Lake, WI - Your Hometown Tavern since 1920. Originally built as a hotel in 1920, the Hotel Bar & Grill has served delicious home-cooked meals to the Turtle Lake Community for nearly 100 years. Our back bar was added after Prohibition ended and stands to this day. Enjoy one of our signature burgers, salads, sandwiches, homemade soups, or signature cocktails daily 11am to 9pm. Also serving daily lunch specials, nightly dinner specials, our famous tacos, everyone's favorite BBQ ribs, and the area's best Friday fish fry. Home of the World's Greatest Popcorn! Our popcorn is complimentary, but we accept popcorn donations and to-date have donated over $8000 to local charities and non-profits!

Joe and Toni moved from Colorado to Turtle Lake in July 2018 to take over Lake Country Pizza. Jane, Toni’s cousin, had successfully ran the restaurant for 10 years and was ready to retire. Joe and Toni are carrying on the tradition of homemade dough and sauce as well as freshly grated cheese. Yummy ingredients make for a yummy pizza!
Joe, retired Air Force, has made homemade pizza’s for the past several decades. He now applies those honed pizza making skills in the restaurant! Joe, Toni and their family are loving living in Wisconsin again!
